专家简介：

Research interests: Tropical climate variability and change, extreme events (tropical cyclones, heavy rainfall, heatwaves, drought, wildland fire), climate prediction, statistical modeling and analysis, Bayesian inference, and water resources.

Scientific achievements:  Appointed as Chair Professor by the National Taiwan University and published 100 papers or more in refereed journals and book chapters, and co-authored a scientific book published by Cambridge University Press most recently.

Professional services:  Appointed by NOAA to be State Climatologist for Hawaii.  A member of the Hawaii Drought Council and the Hawaii Emergency Management Administration.  Reviewers of numerous professional journals and grant proposals.
